Eurostar TGV to Avignon

Read weblog and more specifics at: We took the Eurostar from London St Pancras International Station to Paris Gare du Nord, and then transferred to Gare de Lyon from where we took the TGV direct and non-stop to Avignon TGV station. Door to door, this journey took just 6 hours. It’s a great way to go and the views are brilliant.

  1. Yes, that is what I should have done, but when I travel alone I always make mistakes 🙂

  2. I Saw you took the metro, instead of riding with the metro, gare de lyon is directly reacheable with The RER LINE D from Gare Du Nord, is easier and faster.

  3. Eurostar is brilliant but all seats get filled at holiday weekends and in economy you inevitably get stuck with a screaming baby.

  4. The seats in business class do recline a bit more so than those in economy if my memory serves me correctly.

  5. Do seats recline? The guy at 0:49 is having a hard time keeping still while falling asleep…lol!!!

  6. thank you I allways look foward to this trip every year I am meeting a UK group and takeing the train to Germany than up to the Harz Mountains in Germany to ride a narrowgauge railway there

  7. cool video I will be on the Eurostar next month to Brussels than after that probilly a Tallys TGV to Cologne or maybee ICE unless the ICE has started service to London I never know what I will be on untill I arrive London and meet the UK group but we allways have left on the Eurostar

  8. They say that they were starting to test them or something. I know they are coming to London

  9. you all want to see a train Indonesian state?
    see my video
ilham1298 from Indonesia, Southeast Asia, the island of Java, the province of Central Java, Semarang (Semarang south), home address (street no 12 semarang Singosari 11 south, village Pleburan.
Indonesian trains are very difficult to train encountered in continental Europe, the Americas and Australia.
classical form, the maximum speed is only 250 km / h

  10. Except that the government “decision” to build highways and kill rail was paid for by the auto manufacturers.

  11. It was just a piece of royalty free music that came with my video editing software at the time. It had no title that I can remember. The software was Pinnacle Studio – which I don’t use any more. Sorry I can’t be of more help.

  12. don’t know but the orange TGV in these day ran on Jet Fuel before they were electrified.

  13. yes I have lived in the States and man the further south or west you go ,the more ignorant the people …it is unbelievable what crap I have heard from americans !!!

  14. I called you pompous, not Europeans. And to all Europeans, I’m sorry for the “Europeans love to call Americans arrogant. The irony makes me laugh” comment, I shouldn’t generalize.
So you’re saying America is the only country in the world with illiterate people, and generally “her people are ignorant”. Where did get this assumption? Have you been to America, and build this assumption from talking to Americans face to face. Or are you basing it on what you see on the internet?

  15. I ain’t seen notin bro….whasup ? getdown mama get down ….I love America but Christ her people are so goddamn ignorant and what makes them worse is this tendency of theirs to consider their country and their “culture”(?) the centre of the universe….still there is hope for you if some of us “pompous”Europeans come over to teach you your own language !!!

  16. (Extension of my first reply) oh and if i madee a gramar Mistake, dont uuse that ass an excusee too belittle americans. it jst makes u look shortsighted and again, arrogant. God i really hope you are just a facetious troll, because everything you say is so ridiculously pompous. It makes me want to punch a wall, to think there are people like you in the world, American, European, or whatever.

  17. Do you know of the city Chattagong in Bangladesh? How about Kano, Nigeria? Edmonton, Canada? Busan, South Korea? These are all cities with populations far greater then Nice, yet I doubt you’ve heard of any of them. People like you drive me crazy. There are so many places and cultures in the world that you haven’t heard of. But if someone doesn’t know everything about your culture, geography, then they’re fucking ignorant.Europeans love to call Americans arrogant. The irony makes me laugh(and cry

  18. Plus French people suffer from real accent issues. Italians and Germans are much clearer
    English speakers.

  19. Worse than that it was a Nazi rocket scientist…they should have called NASA…NAZA !!

  20. you are no better even though the language ,as you claim,is yours….”it’s” is supposed to be written like this with an apostrophe….the way you wrote it,it is the possessive form ….too bad !!! even English people have problems writing their own language

  21. Last but not least, I would like to say I have absolutly no hatred against American people, but I am particularly irritated by some youtube trolls and their lack of education probably caused by a deficient educational system.

  22. I have one more thing to add : November 11th is the celebration for OUR victory against Germany in 1918 in the World War I and UNLIKE some bullshits which are teached in US schools they DIDN’T “saved” (or whatever) us in 1918. They just came in 1917 when the war took a favorable turn for us and the English. NEVER this bunch of US cowards will take away our victory which cost us 1,4 million soldiers sacrified on the battlefield.

  24. The King of England sent a fleet to subdue the insurgents in America before they gained independence. Napoleon Bonaparte came to the aid of the Americans. So, the Americans have the French to thank for their independence. By the way, the Germans put the Americans on the Moon.

  25. Oi! Imagine o que um Brasileiro que fala oito idiomas deveria pensar de um povo que acredita que o Rio de Janeiro é a capital do Brasil? Que o Brasil se resume a Amazônia? Patético não?

  26. as an american i gotta admit there is much more that ive gotta learn. my best friend knows 6 languages though

  27. i speak 4 languages too and I am greek …anyway you know the joke that goes like this: what do you call someone who speaks 3 languages:trilingual…2 languages :bilingual…one language :AMERICAN (And they don’t even speak that correctly either despite it being their own language!!!!)

  28. I won’t say the opposite, I’m speaking 4 languages and I’m french. I know it’s a bit sad that there are Germany, UK, Spain, Italia, Schweiz, Belgium so close and many people don’t know how to speak at least 3 languages, but you should know most of french people here know 2 languages at least. So it’s not THAT bad, compared to the USA… just an example among many others.

  29. that is not to say that french schools produce polyglots…most french yongsters cannot speak any other language except their own

  30. Don’t be so hard. In America they don’t have the language privileges that they do in France. Most schools do not even offer a foreign language course until they get to le lycée
