His name is Errol Nazareth, ( heard him this morn ) I believe he has a show
on CBC radio call City Picks. He’s introduced me to all sorts of cool
stuff…Peace:)

I think they are playing tonight at the Horseshoe. On Metro morning they
have one of the broadcasters come on every Thursday morning and he brings
in an album of the week and gives you a little background, every type of
music you can imagine, he just happened to be talking about these guys
album from 93 so I looked them up when I got into work. The broadcaster has
a Saturday show as well (can’t remember his name). I try and catch him each
week because he’s has some really cool music.

This was on CBC’s home page…. Today pick……..Timi Yuro If you like
artists like Adele and Amy Winehouse, our music columnist Errol Nazareth
says you will probably enjoy the blue-eyed soul of Timi Yuro. She is a
fairly obscure singer from the 60s, and Errol hopes a new collection of
Yuro’s music will finally bring her the attention she deserves.

If you do a search they are back together to do the Project Twinkle album
in full on a variety of dates and yes they are doing the Horseshoe tonight

He’s not Jian Ghomeshi perhaps? .. thanks for enlightening me regardless.
If KCS is back in business I better be paying more attention! Cheers.

Oh cool, I’ve heard of that name before (kind of distinct I’d say) but
never tuned in I don’t think. Will check him out. Although, I doubt he’s
better than Laurie Brown on late night The Signal. I think she’s the best
on CBC and has a knack for finding the strangest and most wonderful music
on this planet. Just look up “CBC The Signal” and click on the “Audio”
button for some samples (when it’s working – seems to be down this wkend!).
Laurie is my Music Goddess 😉

Right on.. I’m a bit surprised CBC still plays them after all this time.
Could that mean they’re back together? *wishful thinking*

No I listen to Jian’s Q all the time, this guy just comes in and sits with
Matt Galloway at around 7:50am every Thursday morning talks about one
particular ablum he’s brought in and plays two or three track off it.
Apparently he has a show on Saturday and this is a bit of a cross over
promo for his show but I can’t find the guys name, when I do I’ll let you
know. as I saw he brings in everything from this to middle eastern acts,
Philly funk, UK pop from late 60’s you name it, quite eclectic
