  1. Imcredible…waoh…well here in Peru the train of OE has the nicest route but the oldests trains and they’re not as good as in other contries.these are shops more than trains for traveling.the owner has to see the trains of Cusco coz they’re so bad

  2. You really should do your history. 1. The Orient Express PROPER, does not exist anymore.
    2. This is the Simplon Orient Express, which brings back the old days, but which ain’t the original company. It’s American-owned.
    3. The original company was FRENCH owned and operated.
    4. What’s racist about “orient”? You might as well say “White” is racist, because the proper term is “caucasian” or “black” is racist because the proper term is a “dark-skinned individual of African ancestry”.

  3. white people tend to think they’re anus of the universe and other places are mere peripheral reference to this central port. So Asia is “East” and America is “West”. The most egregious racism I’ve encountered is naming Asia’s most majestic mountain “Everest” when it already has a name known to many people there. From now on, I will call Europe Anus. The Anus Zone. The Anusfighter. Anus currency.

  4. You sound like a retard, obviously you know nothing about what your saying, well let’s just forego the assumption you know nothing about Europe, which you obviously don’t have a clue about. Logically to me the only way a train could travel across an ocean is through a tunnel. which is exactly what all trains from London to France do, it’s called the channel tunnel which connects Britain to France. next time do some research before making a comment on something you know nothing about.Silly monkey

  5. Also the reason it has Oriental in the name is because the ‘Express d’Orient’ that left Paris in October 1883 was so named simply because it was the express train into the East (ref. as Orient; towards Asia) how is that racist? dumb fuck.

  6. What the hell are you talking about? for starters, the original company that owned the original orient express was french not British, Hence the reason it left from Paris not London, plus at that time there was no way a train could cross the ocean from London. James B. Sherwood an American now owns the Venice Simplon Orient Express train, as seen above. Again not owned by the British.

  7. I did this trip from London to Venice and it was just fabulous. I fell in love absolutely and finally with Europe and live in Paris now.

  8. The last four comments! You should be ashamed. This clearly happy lovely couple enjoying their final years together are more deserving of life than you low lifes will ever be. Hope you never reach old age.

  9. Anyway, 50 things to do before you die??? these people WILL have died before they finish it!!

  10. @SuperJbizkit Wow. that is a bit bold.
    It would be funny though.
Or if they ran into the railway track and got run over by the train XD Old people right?

  11. Thank you. Travel anywhere for more than one day without a shower, I’m like, No way! I suspect that it is a memorable journey, railroad buff that I am. Do you plan to take the Asian Orient Express, starting, I think, in Laos and equipped with shower? Let me know if you do, okay? And again, thank you for sharing!

  12. I took my dad on the Orient Express from Paris to Venice for his 75th birthday in 2006. The compartments have their own wash basin. Toilets and bathrooms with shower are located at the end of each carriage. You are provided a VSOE robe and slippers and encouraged to use them to make the journey to the bathrooms and back…. BTW, men are required to wear a suit during the day and black tie (dinner suit) at dinner. It is a memorable journey.

  13. it would be the ultimate dream come true to travel on the Orient Express. Only I’d want to do the original route from Istanbul to Paris.

  14. yeah.. could’ve they actually built an incredibly long bridge to the continent from the UK?
