European Travel?

Question by me: European Travel?
I am celebrating my 50th birthday in Feb. of 2009. I have always wanted to rent a car and meander through Europe for about 2 weeks. I am now rethinking my dream due to the value of the dollar vs the euro. I like interesting beautiful scenery, good food, nice wine and comfortable accomodations.
Any suggestions?

Serbia. Little oriental, but still European. Belgrade is fantastic, you’ll just fall in love.

Prague , Budapest and Warsaw.

  1. If you do go to Poland, by all means go to Wroclaw. Well worth it. But as to your worry about the value of one currency over the other, and whether you should go or not based on that, let me introduce you to the ‘death bed’ rule. It says clearly that when you can’t make up your mind about what to do, think of yourself on your death bed saying to yourself, “I’m sure glad I didn’t________!” You fill in the blank. Now, are you going to be able to do that about this trip on your fiftieth birthday and your planned trip to Europe? You decide.

    srpska zemlja =]

If you do go to Serbia, be aware of thieves in Nis or Belgrade, also if your going in February the weather might be a bit chilly, as cold as 5 degree celcius, if your unlucky, even snow!
    I went there a few months ago… Cause I’m Serbian =]
