I have had this GPS for about a month now, and I think it’s great. The screen is clear to read, even in direct sunlight, the directions are accurate, the lane assist feature is very valuable, and I have not had any problems or issues with it at all. The text to speech feature is so accurate and well-pronounced that I don’t even need to look at the screen a vast majority of the time. Also like the slim design and the sturdy, easy-to-use windshield mount.

I bought this item on the recomendation of a friend. I found it too much trouble to deal with. It finally broke toward the end of my 30-day evaluation and I returned it. It began doing a continuous boot loop of about 5 seconds. Amazon took it back without question.

It gave me almost no control over the traffic information it provided. Suddenly, it would reroute me without telling me why it was doing it. The reroutings were so out-of-the-way as to not be believable.

The lane assist information was very often wrong on routes that I was familiar with that it made me unwilling to believe it in new situations on unfamiliar roads. For example, on one 27-mile trip that I often take, which includes two interstates and two divided-but-not-limited-access roads, its lane information was wrong in 5 out of 11 cases.

While I was not entirely happy with the lane information of the Magellan that I settled on, it was far better than the Garmin; it was wrong only 2 out of the 11 cases on the route I mentioned above. Also it gives you much more control of traffic situations.

I had this unit for three days, and then, NOTHING but the boot logo. When it worked it was great, much faster then my old 660. Garmin needs to evaluate their quality control as I have seen other reviews with the same problems.
