Do I need to use days consecutively in the Eurail Select Pass?

Question by yevgeniy08: Do I need to use days consecutively in the Eurail Select Pass?
If I get the Eurail select pass saver for 3 countries and 8 days, it says that it is 8 days in 2 months, does that mean I can use 1 day, and then not do anything for a couple of days and then use 1 more day, and do that until I used 8 days within the 2 months? Or is it if I use my 1st day, the remaining 7 have to be used right away?

The days are non consecutive, so you can use it one day and then not for the next week. Also, if you are taking a night train, if you leave after a certain time (I forget what time), you can mark your pass for the next day and not have to use up 2 days because of the overnight trip. On the first day that you want to use your pass, get it validated at the train station. They will mark it with the first and last days that you can use your pass, and you simply fill in the dates after that. Finally, don’t fill in the days until the conductor arrives asking for your pass. Some trains they never get around to asking so if you wait before filling it out, you may end up with a free trip.
