How much money will it cost to get from France to Germany and then possibly from Germany to Poland by rail?

Question by Haters in the building™: How much money will it cost to get from France to Germany and then possibly from Germany to Poland by rail?
I live in Canada, I am leaving for France in two months. Should I book my rail passes now or wait till I’m in Europe? If I book them now, do they get delivered to my house or do I need to print them off? What is cheaper? I’m thinking its going to be Paris to Munich and from Munich to Krakow or Warsaw (whichever city is cheaper) Then from Poland I need to make my way back to Paris at the end to depart back home to Canada
Thanks

Paris Munich is tricky. There are no direct trains. But luckily you can still travel on high speed networks.

http://www.railteam.co.uk/ Railteam is an multinational organisation of major train companies within Europe. SNCF (the french one) and DB (the german one) are part of that organisation.

Obviously the earlier you book the cheaper the tickets get. TGV (french high speed train) tickets only go on sale 3 months before the desired travel date.

I would maybe consider flying from one place to another. It’s faster and more practical.

TER en l’Hospitalet-près-l’Andorre

A couple of nice France Rail Pass photos I identified:

Yesterday I lastly get close to l’Hospitalet-près-l’Andorre to see when the doors Puymorens rail tunnel is opened or closed. It appears that the doors open long just before the arrival of the train, so when we arrived and have been open. As soon as passed this AGC to LaTour, waited a handful of minutes till it started to close. I leave a link where you can see a time-lapse of the time of closing (simple enough), you can see it right here.

The Promenade plantée – the Coulée verte – Viaduc des Arts, Paris
France Rail Pass

Well worth a stroll by means of contemplating what Toronto has getting doing with it really is rail lands.

The Promenade plantée is a in depth green belt that follows the old Vincennes railway line. Beginning just east of the Opéra Bastille with the elevated Viaduc des Arts, it follows a four.7 km (two.9 mi) path eastward that ends at a spiral staircase leading to the boulevard Périphérique beltway. As of 2010, the Promenade Plantée access below the beltway is closed, even though the Bois de Vincennes, just on the other side of the closed access, can be reached through the bustling streets of the Saint-Mandé district.

At the western, Bastille end of the parkway, it rises 10 m above the surrounding region and types the Viaduc des Arts, a line of shops emphasizing very skilled arts and crafts. The shops are located in the arches of the former elevated railway viaduct, with the parkway getting supported atop the viaduct. This portion of the parkway runs parallel to the avenue Daumesnil. The parkway intersects the Jardin de Reuilly near the rue Montgallet and descends to street level. At that point, it becomes a mall and then follows the old railway right-of-way beneath street level towards the east, passing through numerous tunnels. As it reaches the rue du Sahel, it splits, with one portion continuing to the beltway, and the other terminating in the square Charles-Péguy along the former path of a branch line that one particular linked to the Petite Ceinture railway. The high-level route has some enclosed sections, as when it passes between modern day buildings, and some open sections with expansive views.

In addition to the jardin de Reuilly and the square Charles-Péguy, the Promenade Plantée also contains the jardin de la gare de Reuilly, with its preserved but unused railway station, and the square Hector-Malot.

Whilst other abandoned railways have been converted into parks and parkways, the Promenade Plantée is the very first green space constructed on an elevated viaduct.&quot
